Who Makes the Best Pizza in the World?

The Best Pizza in The World, As Everyone Knows, No Longer Exists. It is the Pizza of your Childhood. The first bite set the flavor, you spend the rest of your life attempting to recapture. For myself and my family, it was Frank Pepe's Pizzeria Napoletana, at 157 Wooster Street, New Haven, CT. Frank opened in 1936; he passed on in 1969. Now his Grandson, Gary Bimonte, is one of the owners. A simple Clam Pie was my fav. Fresh Clams, Garlic, Romano a little Olive Oil. All on top of a glorious thin crust. The Tomato Pie with a little Cheese and fresh fennel sausage mmmmm! Now down the street, 237 Wooster St., New Haven, is Sally's Pizza. The late Sally (Salvatore) Consiglio learned from his uncle Frank Pepe. Sally opened his place in 1938 when he was eighteen, a few hundred yards from his uncle Frank. There was never any bad blood between the two. It is remarkable that in sixty-six years, only three people , Sally and his two sons Richard and Robert, have ever made a pie there. I rate them even for the best pie in the world. The only way to choose is go for the joint with the shorter line at the door.

A pizza waitress asked Yogi Berra whether he wanted his pizza cut into six or eight slices.
"Six please.. No way I can eat eight!"
